Traction Elevator
Geared or gearless traction passenger elevator, 2-25 stops.
- Monthly Category 1 · 10 checks
- Quarterly Machine Room and Pit Service · 10 checks
- Annual Category 1 Test · 10 checks
Traction units on monthly maintenance, with ASME A17.1 Category 1 annual and Category 5 five-year testing.
Category testing is infrequent enough that the paperwork is usually the hard part: a Category 5 comes round once every five years, and whoever did the last one has often moved on. Keeping the monthly visits, the Category 1 annual and the five-year test on the same unit record means the next test starts from what was actually found last time.
1 equipment profile ship with the product. Each one carries its own maintenance cadence and checklist, so a new site is described rather than invented.
